The first thing I always tell people who ask me that:

Relax

I usually remind people that you can do things whenever you want--on a whim. Living according to kids' normal schedules is often the best way to keep them well-adjusted when they're on a trip or vacation (especially one as exciting as Disney World), but that also means that mom and dad or gram and gramp are stuck waking up, eating, napping, and going to bed on a very strict timeline.

When you go on an adults only trip, you're FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

I also find that other adults we know who go to Disney like to do the fantasyland rides and cheeseburgers as much as anyone with kids might be required to do them, so it's important for people to know that you don't just have to "go to bars and go dancing" when you're on an adults-only vacation. You're in Disney--be a kid!

I've never even understood why there's a question! Of course I still enjoy rides and am not embarrassed to say so. I think a lot of people like to say they're too mature for that kind of stuff.

As everyone already said, relax and enjoy everything!

But one our our favorites is World Showcase. We love grabbing a beer or a glass of wine in the different countries and enjoying the preformers and atmosphere.

World Showcase can be romantic, entertaining and exciting! And doing the Kim Possible Adventure together is pretty fun too! silly

I'd tell them the same thing that Mrs. MT and I have said for years...

"Disney World is NO place for kids......."

Therefore, EVERYTHING there is for adults.

Was she a big WDW fan before she met you?

She was a Mickey Mouse fan, but she hadn't been to Disney World like I had. (She'd done some day trips from the beach, thats all) She had one of the original Mickey Mouse phones when we started dating, the kind you used to have to buy from AT&T. This was back in the day when you didn't own your phones, and this was one of the first ones available that you could buy.

By the time I started seeing her, you couldn't get them anymore, so I've always joked (tho its true!) that I married her to get that phone!!!

I'm pretty biased, I guess. I'll go specific and say that the backstage tours are interesting, engaging, and really fun for a couple of big kids (you get to see how Disney World WORKS!), Carriage Rides at Fort Wilderness can be really nice, treating yourself to a wonderful dinner, riding big kid rides without worrying how tall someone is...

Actually, we put together a little article about it: "But what would we DO at Disney World without kids?"
