There are several California Grill fans in our community that make it a staple of every Disney vacation. There are also lots of folks that try it just for fun and to see if they like it. With the restaurant closing for the first have of 2013, where will you go to "replace" it in your dining plans?
I think we are going to the Yachtsman Steakhouse as our replacement for the Cali in July. I got us resi's for January when the said the refurb was put off until later.
I might try one of the restaurants over at the Grand Floridian. I haven't done any of them yet.
Yachtsman Steakhouse, hands down.
hmmm. I really like Narcoossees. I'm also a fan of Le'Celier....Haven't tried Yachtsman yet!
Flying Fish is usually our second choice after the Cali Grill. We are just changing things up a little in July because we are taking Tom & Del again, yay!
I was SO bummed we couldn't go, since we've never been. Instead, we're going to Artist Point.
I thought about going to California Grill originally, but after I found out it was in refurb for our honeymoon, I did some re-tooling anyway and decided the day we were going to Cali Grill would be our Be Our Guest day. Totally different restaurant, but convenient since we're planning on being in the Magic Kingdom that day and we both love Beauty and the Beast, so I'm sure it'll be a great experience! Though on a future trip we'd love to check out both Yachtsman and Flying Fish (but any signatures are really out of our budget right now anyway--we just planned on Cali Grill because we'd heard such amazing things!!).
