What's The Worst In Disney Dining?

What is the worst Disney Dining experience that you've had?

My worst Disney dining experience was at Tony's Town Square, and it was the food. The service and atmosphere was great, but the food we had was bland, burnt, and completely lacking in any inspiration. That was 9 years ago and I haven't been back. I think they would have to get a new sponsor or totally revamp the menu for me to give it another try.

Have you had a bad meal at Disney? Where was it? Did it involve bad service, gross food, or a poor atmosphere? Would you ever return to give that restaurant a second try?

Our worst dining experience was dinner at Cape May Cafe. The food was great, but the atmosphere is what ruined it for us. The table right beside us with at least 8 people, including 3 kids running around everywhere and with no discipline absolutely ruined our evening. And they were done and the server was trying very hard to get them moving, but no go.

We haven't been back, but I would go back. I just wouldn't be expecting a quiet, intimate evening. wink

I've heard many similar Tony's experiences, but we are 3 for 3 there on food/service/atmosphere. Certainly the food isn't special, but we've never had an experience where it was burnt or anything. I do really like their meatballs, but i wish there were more than 2 because the spaghetti is just average.

Our worst meal was probably...wolfgang puck on the west end at former downtown disney in April 2012. The food was very lacking and the atmosphere was non-existent. with so many other great places, i wouldn't bother to try again.

I have been fortunate that I haven't had a bad dining experience. I would say my least favorite was Le Cellier. I was looking forward to eating as it was my friend's favorite. We walked in to a strong fish smell which was a turnoff. My meal was good. It didn't wow me as other signature restaurants have.

Our only not so great food experience was also at Wolfgang Puck. The place was empty, which should've been a big clue. The service was very good, we were the only people in the dining room for lunch, so we were special. But the food was not so great, we were really disappointed.

Raglan Road. The only thing I enjoyed was the entertainment. I get it is going to be loud, but it was SO LOUD. We couldn't really talk. Ab was tild she couldn't have her steak cooked medium rare because it o ly comes one temperature? The Shepherd Pie was a big letdown, bland and kind of sry. My risotto was good but not amazing. It gets so much fanfare online but we didn't care for it at all.

Raglan Road.

I with ya! It had been so hyped up to me by our roommate, so when G, the kids, and I went last year we made our big family dinner reservations for Raglan Road. It was a flop for all of us, too loud, poor service, I hated what I ordered, and they were out of every beer my husband asked to try. Though we were also dealing with some extenuating circumstances that weren't the restaurants fault. I might give it another go, for lunch, during the week. I did really love the Dalkey Duo appetizer.

Ohana. I know I'll probably get crucified for it, but we haven't had great food or service either time we were there. The potstickers are delicious but I'm not getting my money's worth on that alone. All the meat we've had has been fatty and rubbery and I can't handle peel and eat shrimp. I love shrimp but taking them apart sceeves me out.

I would have to agree with 'Ohana. We were just there in July and it was less than stellar...the food was OK at best and the service was...I don't know how to say this...it felt like the food was slammed down in front of us as the waiter rushed past. Very little interaction with us...not that I'm expecting to have my hand held, but a little interaction is to be expected when you're paying a price for a meal and an experience. We got an experience alright...it will be a loooongg time before we return to 'Ohana...especially knowing we can get the bread pudding at Tambu Lounge and several other items on the 'Ohana menu ++ great drinks!!

Ohana for me too. I was expecting so much after all the rave reviews. But sorry. It was over cooked, dried out meats, among the worst chicken wings I have ever had, and dessert that looked like it had been eaten already. Very disappointed.

Ok so maybe I'm not the only one who feels that way! Glad to know I'm not crazy. We even gave it two shots because we figured the first had to be a fluke. It will be quite awhile before we try again.

The new flying fish just last week. The only thing new is the paint job. The old favorite food items are gone. But it was the atmosphere that was terrible. Tables right on top of each other. They put on at the first table just inside the restaurant, if i stuck out my arm I would be in the lobby. Every person in and out brushed up against us. Loud too. They had several convention groups but they didn't put them at the same table so everywhere people standing at tables talking loud. You know the type, on the company money, trying to impress managers. I do need to take some of the blame. When I saw the table I should have said, we will wait for a better table deep inside the restaurant. But the Fish has some responsibility too. Reduce the number of tables and put groups together. Worst experience but the food was fantastic.

OY....we have an ADR in a couple of weeks. Will definitely ask for a table in a quiet area...glad to hear though that the food was good.

Sci-Fi Dine in Theater was the worst for me and the family... The food was very so-so... It was waaaaaay too dark inside!!! The speaker (mounted right by your table) for the movie was right up on my ear blaring, while we ate. The kids faced away from us, so it wasn't much of a family experience.. Also felt rushed... My nine year old who had suggested the place, didn't care for it either.. Mama Melrose will be where we eat from here on out if at Hollywood Studios...

Sci-fi was good at one point. They ruined the menu.
