What's Your Favorite Universal Ride?

I have never been to Universal Orlando, but as I understand it, their ride vehicles aren't very friendly to plus sized people. What's your favorite ride at Universal? If you're a larger person, have you ever had any problems there?

Well it used to be Twin Dragons when it first opened (before Harry Potter land) when they were still able to set both roller coasters off at the same time! Now that they've cut that part of the ride, however, I don't think it will be nearly as exciting so I'll go with the Amazing Spiderman!

As a P.S. I absolutely love Universal. I know that a lot of people will disagree with me, but I always make a point to go there every Disney trip. It is a totally different world then Disney, so you just have to go with the right expectations. It definitely doesn't have the same magic (or the same great quality food...I kind of hate eating at Universal, I usually go out to the City Walk since most of the restaurants in the park are blah) but it has totally different kinds of rides then Disney features. I love thrill rides so for me Universal is fantastic!

They also don't have many rides that are friendly to people with motion sickness problems. So even though I've been to both parks, I can't tell you much about the rides. In fact, I can't recall a single "wow" ride, and I was just there last fall.

other than the roller coasters i liked the dudley do right log ride that last drop was awesome, also thought jurassic park was good and the mummy also and i don't think they were too bad motion wise

The Mummynis good, HP ride in Hogwarts is awesome and the music coaster... You pick the song that plays while you ride is fantastic.
The Simpsons is similar to the spiderman ride so both of those are cool. And finally just for fun's sake riding the couches on the Cat in the Hat ride was amusing Smile

Andy and I LOVED Rip, Ride, Rockit! We ended up picking the same song, haha, and the complete vertical lift to start was cool. I really liked the version of JAWS that was there but it's gone now so that is kind of a bummer. The Mummy is a lot of fun and I like the Men in Black attraction too, it's just like Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.

This is exactly what I was going to say. And for some reason, I like Spiderman more than most people do. It's just so real!

That's it the rip it, ride it, rock it - coaster. That thing is awesome!

Ditto! Last time we were there it was pretty dead and we got to ride each coaster about 3-4 times, any seats we wanted, before it started to get a little busy. Was awesome! Now that was a fun first-seater!!

Aside from that, probably the Hulk coaster or Spiderman as next favorites.

Mine used to be The Hulk coaster but then the Harry Potter & The Forbidden Journey took over my top spot. The technology on that ride was amazing. You really do feel like you're flying on a broom with Harry. Way cool!

I haven't been in about 6 or so years... But The Mummy used to be my favorite... and Spiderman. The cat and the hat rides are really cute too.... Oh and that log flume one... That was good but i'm not sure if they have it anymore because of that fire that started in it...? crossfingers

I'm really excited to try all of the new rides they've built since I've been there... Riptide, Simpsons! yay

FYI if you'll be in the area around October, GO TO HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS! Universal puts on the best haunted houses that I have EVER been to. The park get's completely decked out and they just do a fantastic job! clapping

And I absolutely agree with Allie. Orlando is awesome. I lived there for 2 years and one of my favorite parts (if you like a party scene) is downtown Orlando. They have really great night clubs and the streets are all blocked off for fun times. I tried to get there on my last Disney trip, but couldn't make it...... It is HIGHLY recommended that you check it out while you're there... There is so much more to Orlando than all the theme parks... although they are my favorite part of the city... It is overall one of the best places I have ever lived because there was ALWAYS something to do! muchlove
