When SHOULD Christmas come to the parks?

We all know that Christmas comes to the parks about 2 seconds after Halloween is over (or so it seems). Do you agree with the practice, or would you rather they hold off on the decorations and holiday cheer until December?

I think straight after Halloween is far too early. I think Christmas decorations ordinarily should be held off until December, although because of the number of people who would want to see them at Disney I guess if they did hold off until December then the congestion in the parks would be much worse that month. Perhaps they should leave a little break though between Halloween and December - open up another couple of weeks for a potential really quiet period biggrin

(unless it already is really quiet at that time. I don't know, I've only ever been in Summer)

I think having them up for Thanksgiving week would be early enough. We started decorating around that time at home when I was in college, just so I'd have a chance to help and enjoy them (we never finished term until the 22 or 23 of Dec.) But, of course, another reason they decorate early I think is to accommodate all the parade tapings. I believe they started taping at Disneyland early last month - good grief!

I can see why people would want them to wait, but I don't mind having extra time to get in and see the Holiday sites. There are probably some people for whom December just doesn't work, who'd love to get a chance to do all the Disney Holiday stuff.

As we usually go in early December, as long as they are up before we arrive that's fine by me. There's only about 3 weeks between Halloween and Thanksgiving, which isn't long to decorate 4 parks and however many resorts, so it's no wonder they seem to start straight away.

I like it how it is - it lets more people see the decorations!

I think they should bump it up to one second after Thanksgiving. I love the holidays and after Halloween is over I cannot wait for Christmas & Thanksgiving.
