Which Criuse?

I've been reading about watching fireworks from a boat and it sounds
like a fun idea! Who has done this? I am trying to decide between
Wishes and Illuminations - I'm leading more towards Illuminations

I prefer Illuminations across the board. Like the fireworks, music, location, everything better. EPCOT is far from my favorite park, but Illuminations is by far my favorite show. Plus the cruise gets "closer" for Illuminations.

The cruises are really hard to get so be sure to get them early.

ressies can be made 90 days out, correct? I am able to make my ADRs on Thursday! I should be able to book this then too, correct?
I think I'll flip a coin as to which one to book! LOL laugh

Most people generally tend to prefer the "Wishes" fireworks show. I personally love them both, but I thnk the cruise for Illuminations is more impressive. You get really close to the fireworks. I think the cruises can be booked 90 days out and I'd jump on it ASAP.

Both are great shows, and even better if you see 'em from a boat! Illuminations is amazing to see so close-up, though.

Here's a thread about some Illuminations cruise experiences.

I have read that the fumes can be a bit too much on the boat for Illuminations - guess it just depends on the weather?

I'm gonna weigh in here on the Illuminations cruise being the way to go as far as boats are concerned. Wishes is best seen either right up at the hub by the castle, or from a restaurant (California Grill, 'Ohana, Narcoosees) over dessert!

Ha! Getting fired up about your Disney vacation is nothing unusual! I can attest that certain members of my planning committee have a tendency to get "fixated" on the subject and become "intense."

Heh, you're supposed to pretend that you're not as excited about WDW as your kids!

I particularly like once I've got my "base plan" down and am just doing refining. So I've got my "worst case" plan which I'm trying to make better.

That's where I am at.
At this point, worst case is we don't go because of my MIL - or at least she doesn't go along sad

That's a much worse "worst case" than most Sad I hope everything turns out well! I've had lots of health scares, but they've all turned out okay so far.

That is wonderful news wink
I am hoping either she gets news that everything is fine (obviously) or if something is bad - she gets it taken care of before we go - she'll need a nice recovery vacation. mickey

Those are critical. As are "figuring out how to deal with the situation" vacations.

Prayers for your MIL. Just keep reminding yourselves that there are new breakthroughs in that disease every single day. bighug
