Just joined this site today and I have to go with Wishes! Last March, I surprised my wife with a Wishes Cruise and it was amazing and romantic! I ordered champaigne and chocolate covered strawberies from the Grand Floridian to set the mood. We were provided with a blanket and began our little 1 hr. tour around the Seven Seas Lagoon. The skipper was so polite, professional and full of Disney knowlege! She took so many pictures of us to cherrish our memories even more. We were also able to stop right in front of the Elecrical Water Pageant Parade for a one of a kind viewing! After cruising for 45 minutes, we parked or should I say anchored in front of the MK. We had a live feed of Wishes through the boat's radio and had an outstandinfg view! During wishes, I re-proposed with a new ring for our 10th aniversary and Wishes Do Come True! After Wishes, we cruised one more time around the lagoon. I don't think the Illuminations Cruise can compare.

That sounds amazing. We had a really good experience once with an Illuminations Cruise which we actually got for free! The captain was REALLY nice, especially given that we hadn't paid for the cruise. I would have argued that Illuminations can't be beat, but it would be really awesome to get up close to the electric light parade. Did you get to watch it for a good while, or did you have to get over for the fireworks?

Welcome to the board Grumpy! That sounds perfect. Have you stayed at the Grand Floridian other times?

What a great idea. DW would really enjoy that, I'm sure. Did you order the food when you booked your cruise, or do it separately through the GF dining folks?

Oh wow - that sounds wonderful!

I did book the Wishes cruise, however, with my husband, MIL and 3 kids I don't think it'll be romantic! laugh
