Which resort is the WORST value?

What's everyone's opinion on the resort that gives the worst value, or one that you'd never stay at again? We don't have any awful experiences but I think I'd always pick POP over any of the All-Stars.

So far the only one we have stayed in that I felt was not worth what we paid for it was the Beach Club. I can not say there was anything really wrong with it but to me the room felt as though it could have been any hotel room pretty much anywhere.

VERY interesting observation! I think that the Beach Club is worth the money when you're taking advantage of that great pool and the short walk to Epcot, but the room itself is probably not anything all that great.

Personally, we aren't big fans of Saratoga Springs. It feels too much like a condo development to me...and if I'm paying "deluxe resort" prices, I like to walk through a lobby each time I go to my room. I know -- weird quirk, but it's true.

All of the Epcot resorts have sort of bland theming. I thought the rooms were kind of nice (in a bland way) and have great access to the parks, but they ARE awfully expensive. For that kind of money I'd probably rather have an MK resort.

Bali,
How different we are all lol. We bought in Saratoga Springs for just that reason. We love the condo feel. In fact for years I would not stay at the Poly because it was to hotel feeling for me. I like to be able to get into our room from outside without being in a hallway. Now how weird is that! I do have to admit that once Mrhub talked me into trying the Poly it is now my favorite place to stay.

The parking could be really convenient at Saratoga Springs. It's like a moderate where you can just walk out of your room and be in a car, right? Not like a deluxe where they want you to valet so you park miles from the lobby.

Yes, the parking is a plus at Saratoga! You can almost always park right near your room.

That's one of my favorite things about Coronado Springs. It's so nice to just hop in your car when you have to go someplace. It saves so much time. Do you always get/bring a car Scrappy?

We usually stay at POP or POR and enjoy having easy access to our vehicle. It's hard for me to think of a Disney resort being a poor value....they all have their perks!

"Worst" may be the wrong term. How about "least best." I've never stayed at POR, is the parking close like Saratoga Springs?

Yes Brad, we have always had a car. In fact we have never been on a Disney bus. We keep saying that one day we are going to take one just to say we did but so far that has not happened.

Maybe one day you can use one to go between parks or something, just to cross it off your list. silly

Strange as this may sound, the few times that I have gone to WDW by car, the car has remained parked unless we were headed off property. We have never taken the car to DTD or any of the parks, ALWAYS go by bus. Hey you can almost consider it another thrill ride, especially lately. biggrin

So for me I pretty much see Beach Club/Yacht Club and Boardwalk as very similar, but Beach Club is closer to Epcot and has access to Stormalong bay. Meanwhile they're all pretty similarly priced so it seems like Boardwalk and Yacht are worse value. Am I missing something?

I think I could go along with that thinking, unless you LOVE Hollywood Studios, in which case you're closer if you stay in the Boardwalk!

This thread is really interesting so far -- it's cool to see how many differences of opinion we have on how we like to spend our vacations!
