Why my spouse is excited about going to WDW

He has never been! Here is his list in no particular order...

"wacky cocktails!"
"Saving the universe with Han Solo!"
"Seeing Independence Hall in Florida!"
"Parades everywhere all the time!"
"MONORAIL!!"

oh boy...

You can knock two of those off the bucket list with a monorail pub crawl by visiting the resort hotels on the MK end of the loop.

If you go during MNSSHP Han Solo could be aboard and that would make 4 of the 5 biggrin

This monorail crawl is intriguing! I know that getting a Lapu Lapu is on the list. We want to watch the fireworks from the beach at the Poly anyway the first night (park tickets don't start until our first full day), do they allow you to bring your drink to the beach to relax with it? I'm also excited about the Water Pageant because I've only caught a glimpse of it before on the ferry from MK to the transportation center.

Haha! We actually see enough Han Solos throughout the year going to comic cons, but that would be pretty cool, too. Star Tours has always been a thing he's wanted to do. wink

If you want to end your crawl at the Poly (water pageant is there at 9pm), it's easiest to start off at the Grand Floridian. Mizners (GF) opens between 4-5:00pm, the orchestra starts playing at 4pm. There are 3 bar options at the Contemporary, so make a plan for which you hit there. Once you arrive at the Polynesian you can grab your Lapu Lapu at the bar in the Lobby and head on down to the beach!

Gota get to the beach really early though if you want a hammock! Oh, and just to let you know, a hammock and alcohol can be a really bad combination, believe me, I know!

I feel like there's a story behind that... wink

The guy will probably take his chances with a hammock, though I'm perfectly content with a drink in my hand and butt in the sand if it's the safest bet!

You could do the monorail pub crawl and kick it up a notch by taking a boat from the Contemporary to WL and then boat to FW with return boat back to the Contemporary. biggrin

At this point it sounds more like a marathon than a crawl clapping

Yea, I'm pretty much a sucker for any drink that comes in a pineapple. If it's on a menu, I buy it. muchlove
