Wide World of Sports -- stuff for regular people to do?

So, we're not visiting with a sports team, during Spring Training, or anything else -- does anyone know if there are attractions at WWoS for regular folks? I know there's a restaurant, but anything else? Fun events or attractions worth seeing?

A while back the Mouse announced that they would be building a new bowling alley complex in a new building at WWoS but then it quietly faded away waiting and I have not heard anything else about it in quite a while. Anyone else hear anything?

Haven't heard anything about that, Vettelover sad I think this complex is really cool; I wish there WAS a reason for me to go there from time to time.

When I went for spring training there was really nothing to do for anyone else who wasn't on our team. If a pro. team is there you can watch practice but that's about it if I recall. This was a few years back so I could be wrong. It wasn't even anything that great when we played except that it was Disney. Use the weight room, use the fields....same deal as being at home. But going to the parks after was fun!

I'd be afraid everyone would spend too much time having fun and be worn out for the games.

Sounds pretty much like what I expected. The grounds and buildings are pretty, but there's not tons to do. And it's so far from everything else that it's not as though you could walk there from a park just to check it out...

You do not get to go to the parks until after practice and games are finished.
There really is nothing to go there for though if you aren't playing on a team there.

Glad we have someone with personal experience. When I've gone there to pick things up or whatever, it's always looked kind of sparse.
