WonderWorks

Has anyone been to WonderWorks??

It says that it's an "amusement park for the mind" but they also have a high ropes course and laser tag.

If you mean the "upside down house" on I Dr. the answer is yes and I for one have been and it is an interesting way to spend a morning or an afternoon and they have many interactive exhibits. I seem to remember an old thread on this board about it. I will look for it and if I find it I will try to link up to it.

We've been to Wonderworks, I chaperoned a field trip there w one of my girls a few years back. Keeping in mind that I was with 150 5th graders... my perception is chaos. It was a very cool place, like a crazy science center with lots of interactive activities. We spent most of the day there, but that was time rounding up all the kiddos too. It could easily be a half day of fun to get out of the heat on a non-park day. The kids really enjoyed it, and I had a good time too. Not the typical science center stuff, but along those lines with all the interactive things to do. I remember the make your own roller coaster simulator, and the scary age progression that showed how you will age according to data you put in, and some sort of bed of nails you actually lay on. As I recall there were 3 floors full of things to do.

You are correct Jess. There is No WAY I would get on that thing. I felt so bad for that poor girl when she sitting up at the top waiting for it to reverse. It is funny though, when we first got married so many many many years ago, I would have been the one to ride it while Mrhub watched from the ground!
