Would this be weird?

Here's the dealio:
I'm planning a trip to WDW for early September, which is about three months before my birthday. My birthday is December 4th, and my next will be my 25th, which I think is a pretty big deal. I would love to be able to plan a trip that would actually fall during my birthday week, but I was dumb enough to choose retail as a career which means that naturally I pretty much can't ever have my birthday week off (I haven't even had my birthDAY off the past four years!!). SO would it be weird to say on my reservation I'm celebrating my 25th birthday even though it won't be for another three months?? Will Disney care? I'm not really after any special perks or treatment - I probably truly will be celebrating my birthday in a way; I just don't know if it would be weird or even wrong to mention it so early.

(I suppose I could at some point schedule a half-birthday trip in June, but that means higher crowds, heat and room prices and no thanks yuck )

Nope, not weird at all, people do it all the time, you're there to celebrate your birthday early, do it!

It's totally cool, SpamGoddess. We got home from our "anniversary" trip weeks ago where we proudly wore our "Happy Anniversary" buttons throughout our entire trip and our actual anniversary wasn't until yesterday. Don't worry--they won't check your ID. biggrin Although if you wear a birthday button, you will get about 50 million happy birthday's per day, so if that gets annoying or feels weird, just ditch the button.

Definitely not weird. We celebrated our 20th anniversary at Disney several months before the actual date, but that is what the trip was for. As you say, you can't always travel on that special date.

That is not an issue at all. My birthday is in January and I didn't go to WDW until the end of September and I still celebrated my BD. Go for it!

I'll just add my voice to everyone else's saying just go for it. awesome

As Jan said, we celebrated our anniversary months out, but in our minds it was our anniversary trip and that's all that matters. After all, it's Disney World and everything is magical! mickey

No I don't think it weird either, when we go in October I'll be celebrating my 30th even though it's my birthday in July, but I have no desire to go in the busy holidays with the heat. Smile

In 2012 we wore anniversary buttons the entire trip even though we were there a month after our anniversary, but that is what the trip was technically for. This year we'll be there over our actual anniversary!

Of course it was! She loved the wrapping paper and was super into all of her gifts! Here's one of my favorite pictures (sorry about the thread jack!)

On my 50th birthday trip the CM let me in to an Illuminations dessert party that was all roped off. It was great. And I thought, 'hmmm, maybe I can be 50 again sometime.' But I never did it.

I have been celebrating my 25th anniversary all year. Mexico, Las Vegas, three trips to Disney. The odds of someone putting up with me for 25 years is so small that I really had to celebrate that miracle....alot.

BTW, that is a very cute baby.God Bless.
