Beach Club for $175 per night or Pop Century for $50 per night?

If it dosen't strain the budget, Beach Club! But I'd rather stay at the Poly!
I would have to go with, and HAVE gone with Pop Century. The square foot area of the BED, (not the bedroom) is the same in both cases,(Pop and Beach Club) and that is basically what we use the room for, sleeping, and I would dare say there is not too much difference area wise in the bathroom either. The money we would save can be put to better use elsewhere in the parks. Heck!! they are going to get our money anyways so better to get a little more mileage out of it. HOWEVER being a DVC member we have an even better deal with Disney.

I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day... tomorrow doesn't look good either.
That's tough. I think it would come down to how long I'm staying and whether I plan to spend anytime in the resort. As I think I mentioned before, we stayed overnite at the Grand last winter to celebrate my Mom's bday. We got an AMAZING rate, but it was still pricey. And worth every penny, just to actually stay there (instead of riding in on the monorail, loitering in the lobby, and pretending we were staying there ) I suppose it comes down to whether you feel the Beach Club is special enough to spend the extra $$$...understanding that the magic is everywhere
One other thing to think about though would be where you plan to spend your time. After all, there's a walkway to Epcot from Beach Club, right? Which means easy access to TTC, rather than bussing everywhere. I'm such an Epcot freak that the Epcot (and monorail) access would probably sway me.
We have been to every resort in Disney World. Not to stay there but visit each many, many times. They are all great with Disney spirit but It's Pop Century for Jan and I. But hey--- were old. We have lost our sense of what's important.

Oh, I don't see it that way at all; you know well what's important to you guys, and that's all that matters. I hope we can some day see as much of the World as you and Jan have.

I agree. We love the parks, but we do spend a bit of time in the room and like to treat ourselves.

I find the Pop Century deals to be hard to resist. The only thing that makes us consider spending more is because we have so much trouble finding time to take vacations. I think I'd ALWAYS rather have 3 nights at Pop Century over one at Beach Club if I could go whenever I want. But sometimes I just want the full on relaxing experience.
