I love questions like this, so I figured I'd ask one here!
Would you rather...

Skydive, but I have bad shoulders and that's not a happy combination. I've done indoor skydiving (same as the pros use to train - accurately replicates the real thing) and it was terribly painful for me.
Oddly I find bungee jumping more terrifying than skydiving. I think it's because skydiving seems so much more professional. Bungee jumping seems like some guy just went and found a rubber band and stuck it on a platform. Of course I've never done either so who knows what I'd think once I was up there.
I would just like to say this about that!!
Bungee jumping: Anyone who would climb up to a very high place, tie a large elastic band around his ankles, and then JUMP off head first and hope that the elastic band is short enough has room for improvement in the cranial section of his anatomy.
Skydiving: Anyone who would jump out of a perfectly GOOD functioning airplane and depend on a piece of nylon cloth to get him down, would also make the person with a couch in his office earn his fees. Now if that plane suddenly turned into a glider with the flying characteristics of a lead balloon I would LOVE to take up sky diving..
PS. I hope I did not offend anyone, just one of my attempts at being humorous. Seriously it's just not my cup of tea.
@LIFL -- Ugh! What a bad experience. Did you know beforehand that it would hurt your shoulders so much?
@vettelover -- I thought it was funny! Worked for me!
Personally -- I don't know if I could force myself to jump anywhere out of anything!!!

No, I didn't. I knew I had some shoulder issues, but I didn't realize you're basically supporting your body weight with your arms and legs (outstretched). Imagine, setting up four dining room chairs, then putting your hands on two and your feet on the other two with your arms and legs outstretched and supporting your body weight. That's what it's like. Of course tandem jumps are much easier, you're just strapped to an instructor and along for the ride.
I have a hard time visualizing myself jumping off that bungee platform or airplane. I bet I would like it after it was over, but taking that step seems like it would be really hard.
This would be a fun game! We could keep asking "Would You Rather..." questions!
Anyway, I have a hard time deciding here. I think the bridge would be easier than the airplane, but the jerky motion of the bungee jumping scares me to death. I figure the parachute wouldn't jar my neck as much. Of course, I have NO idea if that line of thinking is at all accurate!
