Yacht Club/Beach Club/Beach Club Villas

Pardon my ignorance s I have never been to this area of Disney - are all 3 of these different? Or are they all located in the same area? We re planning on eating at Cape May Cafe and that is at the beach Club - villas or resort? Don't want to be in the wrong place! laugh

Yacht Club and Beach Club are different resorts. Beach Club villas are the DVC units located at the Beach Club.

The Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Boardwalk are part of the Epcot Resorts area. So they are roughly in the same location. Yacht Club and Beach Club are right next to each other, while the Boardwalk is "across" the pond.

Here's a picture. The "white" building on the left is the Beach Club. The "blue'ish" building on the right is the Yacht Club.

The pier in between them is where you catch all the boats.

Edit: as a reference, the World Gateway entrance to Epcot is to the right of the picture, after Yacht Club.

Robo over at www.wdwinfo.com always has great photoshopped versions of birds-eye view photos that really help me understand how WDW is laid out. Maybe this will help:

Isn't that backwards?

Oh, you might be right. I had it the other way around.

I'm not sure if it is the "villas section", because there isn't a building that is designated as the DVC villas. Cape May isn't that difficult to find, because it is just off the main lobby of Beach Club. If you walk in through the front entrance (as opposed to the entrance from the lagoon), it will be on your right. You can't miss it.

Wonderful! I know it seems silly, but after my 'mishap' in 2008 wit where Boma is, ummm, I need specific directions for everything now! waiting

Yeah it's basically in the back right corner of the lobby when you walk in from the front door. Not hard to find at all, but if you've gone too far from the lobby you've missed it.

I'm pretty sure I can find a photo of the entrance for you! In the meantime, DisneyFoodBlog just posted photos and reviews of Cape May Cafe breakfast, which will at least help with the inside!

Here's a photo of the Beach Club Lobby. To your RIGHT in the photo of where you enter from the parking lot. To you LEFT in the photo is where you enter from the Boardwalk/Crescent Lake area. Cape May Cafe is directly across the room from you (you'll see a tiny white rectangle, which is the Cape May Cafe sign).

Glad to help! Yep, Cape May Cafe is in the lobby of the Beach Club. The Beach Club Villas DO have their own building, but there isn't any dining in it.

So many of you guys' pictures look nicer than reality. When you guys post your cool photos, a lot of the time I think "that's really nice I'd like to see that," and then realize I've already seen it, it just looks nicer in your pics.

I've done that too. "Ooh, where's that!! Oh..."
