My packing tips:

Half as many clothes and twice as much cash

When in doubt, leave it out!

Moleskin man, moleskin...it can save your life.

Bring at least a couple of pairs of shoes to wear. I usually bring 2 pairs of shoes and a pair of sandals depending on time of year.

With all the walking involved, your feet with thank you! mickey

Our must have items are:
-Lots of Disposable Ponchos. We live in Florida and I would never go to Disney w/o them, even if the weather isn't calling for rain. We get torrential downpours in the afternoons, especially in the spring, and you are completely soaked after just a 5-10 minute rainstorm. I get them for about $1.00 each and throw them out after it rains. It's worth the $1.00 to not have to carry around a wet poncho. If it rains again later, open a new one.

-MIO for my husband because he doesn't like to drink just plain water all day.

-Our own coffee maker to make espresso in our room. Although now we occasionally splurge at the Starbucks on Main St.

-Mickey mouse belt clip water bottle holders. We bought several of these at the Emporium in MK and my husband wears two on his belt and I wear one on my bag. This is the best and most convenient way we've found to carry around our bottled drinks.

-A case of water. We always bring our own water and keep a cooler of it in the car. Through the years, we've saved hundreds of dollars just by doing this!

Ooh! Good one! I'll have to grab some dollar store ponchos before we leave! And I'll check out the water bottle holders!

If you're flying, I would pack an outfit, swimsuit and anything else you may need before you get your luggage at the resort. Some folks like to bring snacks with them like muffins, granola bars and the such.

Good one, Mandy! I'll make sure we have a carry-on for all the stuff we want before MExpress luggage catches up with us!

This is a definite must; especially if it's rainy season. One pair of shoes may need a 'dry-out' day.

We also pack a collapsible hamper. It helps with trips to the laundry and/or packing all the dirty clothes the last night.

Oh...we pack quart and gallon Ziploc-type bags for things we might need to separate or treats we want to bring home.

This post reminded me. We also pack quart size Ziploc bags that I keep in my bag, and we use them for several different things when we go on rides and when it rains. When we go on a ride where everything could fall out of your pockets(ToT or RRC), my husband puts everything in his pockets in one Ziploc bag and I put it in my purse. It makes it very quick and easy when we are done with the ride. Everything is in one place, instead of all over the bottom of my purse. They are also great, for the same purpose, on water rides.

We also use them on rainy days. We keep phones and cameras in the bags. I also pack extra socks and always have a pair or two for each of us in my bag. No matter what you do, in a Florida rainstorm you can't keep your feet dry. There's almost nothing that makes me as miserable as wearing wet socks. I put the wet pairs in a Ziploc and we each put on a fresh, dry pair. Even if the shoes are wet, it makes a big difference to be able to change your socks!

Amen!!! I tie them up with a rubberband to make them small and thus the men carry their own and I am not stuck with a bag of their junk!

I also have a travel size: antacid, asprin, Pink stuff to chew for bad tummy, sunscreen, lip balm in a small bag for each. If they don't carry it it's their problem. I carry mine and if it's gone for some reason they are OOL! This year we add the collapsible water bottle that can roll up when not in use.

I have a great secret tip for you all, men and women. Buy men's swimming shorts to wear in the parks. They are nice and cool and dry out really quickly after getting wet on water rides. I pack a lot of them.

VelcroPooh

All of the above!

I always bring my over-the-door clear, plastic shoe hanging bag. It is great to hang on the bathroom door on any vacation to store everything in and keep everything off the counters. I put all the toiletries in there, zip lock bags in one, sunscreen bottles, hair clips, etc. Get the clear one so you can see what's in every pocket. It came in real handy in DW to put pins in one, lanyards in one, etc. It keeps everything organized and at the end, I roll it all up and pack it in my suitcase...instant pack!

I always blister on the back of one heel where I had Achilles surgery years ago if I do days of walking. This time, I put the moleskin on every day, before I had a chance to develop a blister, and bingo! Never got one. Put it on where you tend to blister and you'll be all happy happy happy. yay

Everybody has such helpful suggestions! We drove to WDW, so we packed almost everything and the kitchen sink! wink
What I found most helpful having on hand was air freshener spray and clorox wipes...
