The first time I had a Zebra Dome I didn't really like it at all. Each successive time I've liked them more and more until I'm starting to crave them. I was curious how many of you have tried them and what your opinions are.

I really like them. I find the texture (hard shell with a soft inside) to be palatable. And the semi sweet cocoa/mocha flavor I find to be excellent.
This is not to say that I make special trips to get them, but being that I'll be at AKV in September, the proximity will make it possible to partake in at least one.
I'm not familiar, tell me more?
Here are some pics and a recipe:

I always get them at Boma. Which is one of my favorite places to eat in WDW. I'm not sure how exactly to describe them though. Imagineer did a better job than I would.
If your plans don't include dining at Boma, you can grab Zebra Domes from the refrigerated section of The Mara.
Sounds interesting. I'd like to give them a try, assuming the Disney ones are sans liqueur. If not, I'll have to abstain.

They do have some alcohol. I find the taste to still be there so I think it's probably still "alcoholic." I don't know if they make alcohol free ones.
I like Zebra Domes a lot, but due to the fact that I'm diabetic, I only can have one each visit to Boma.
As far as alcohol goes, It's amaretto, not sure how much is used, I certainly could taste it, but didn't feel any effect from eating just one, especially after eating a lot of food from the rest of the buffet.

One's probably enough for any of us honestly. I feel the same way as far as the alcohol. I don't think it's really going to affect you, but if you're abstaining for health or religious/moral reasons then I think you might want to back off. I'm sure it's just trace amounts, but as you say I can taste it.

Is that your one and only treat at the buffet, sugar-wise?
I have not had the pleasure of trying one yet, but I am hoping the next time we make it down to have one, because I have heard such wonderful things about them.
I used to hate 'em, but have recently had a turnaround! I tried some on my last trip and was reformed. Tastes must have changed... (mine, not the Zebra domes')

I too have not tried them as yet BUT Jambo house here we come in mid Jan. next year and I will do my share of sampling, However like Blackjack_Joe the diabetes will prevent me from OVERsampling

Great food, good friends, how can you top that!
You can't! What a great meet-up place
