Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you can't celebrate Saint Patrick's Day at Walt Disney World. The bakeries will be filled with sweet seasonal treats, but come on - it's Saint Patrick's Day - of course we're going to tell you where to grab a great pint. So may your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, may good luck pursue you each morning and night.
Big River Grille & Brewery at Disney's Boardwalk
While there's nothing special going on to celebrate St. Patrick's Day specifically here there is something brewing to honor the Celtic heritage on the other side of the North Channel. The Brew Masters of Big River are tapping what's known as their Scottish 40. This limited time brew is a brown ale made with nitrogen instead of oxygen, which provides a creamier texture and more full mouth feel. The atmosphere at Big River is casual and fun, and you don't need a Park ticket to get in. Head on over to Jellyrolls or the Atlantic Dance Hall to enjoy some music afterwards.
Rose & Crown Pub in Epcot's UK Pavilion
One of my favorite spots in all of Disney to grab drinks & appetizers with friends the Rose & Crown Pub is a fun and festive spot to celebrate St. Patricks Day. Beware though because pub lines are often out the door with Guests lined up to celebrate with a green brew. Try to snag an Advanced Dining Reservation for a guaranteed table and the chance to relax while sampling a traditional beer& cider flight.
Raglan Road at Downtown Disney
The ultimate and only truly Irish Pub on Disney Property, Raglan Road is always full of fun, music and dancing; but to celebrate the green they pull out all the stops with their four day long Mighty St. Patrick's Week! A celebration of all things from the Emerald Isle the Mighty St. Patrick's Week offers fun, food, music, and dancing straight from the heart of it all. For both locals and Disney Guests from out of town this is the place to be, and with the roaring crowds pre-planning and reservations are a must, however if you can't get in don't worry because the festival spills out into the streets of Downtown Disney. There are three different stages of entertainment, and Chef Kevin Dundon himself will be on hand to oversee the event.
The best part of Disney's St. Patrick's Day celebrations? You can take Disney's complementary transportation and you don't have to worry about who is driving home. Thanks so much to our friends over at the Disney Food Blog for the use of their images in this piece. Where would you celebrate St. Patricks Day at Walt Disney World?
