5 Reasons To Love Liberty Square

The next stop in our 5 Reasons To Love series if one of my personal favorite spots, Liberty Square. From the funnel cakes at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, and year round Holiday glee at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, to the Rivers of America and the spectacular Haunted Mansion, Liberty Square offers Magic Kingdom guests a look into the birth of a nation, it's people and frontier.





The Patriotic Symbolism

While Main Street U.S.A. serves as the conduit that transports guests from today back through time into realms both real and imaginary, Liberty Square embodies the idealistic heart of America. Special details pay honor to the history of The United States taking folks on a thematic journey of patriotism with details such as the Liberty Bell, the Liberty Tree, and Lanterns that give a nod The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere

The Haunted Mansion

A stately mansion of Dutch revival design Walt Disney World's Haunted Mansion is one of those attractions that has inspired an entire franchise of gothic splendor. Begin with a walk through the graveyard interactive queue, then step inside the ominous stretching room to be greeted by your Ghost Host, and then climb inside your doom buggy for a tour. On your way out - don't forget to stop by Momento Mori to pick up the spookiest swag in the land.

The Hall of Presidents

From the art and artifacts on display in the pre-show area, through the moving film chronicling the life of a nation, to the audio animatronic presidential roll call Disney's Hall of Presidents is one of those spots that offers not only entertainment, glimpses into moments in history. This attraction continually ranks on lists of the best Disney attractions relax on wether you're looking to escape the rain, heat, or just need a comfy spot to sit down and be entertained.

Columbia Harbour House

Head upstairs in this charming spot to relax while enjoying a bite to eat. This quick-service restaurant is popular with Disney fans looking for something different in their theme park dinning. Known for its lunch-time Lobster Roll, and seasonal cobblers - Columbia Harbour House has a lighter assortment of options than typical burgers and dogs.

The Liberty Belle Riverboat

Climb aboard the beautiful, steam powered, stern mounted paddle wheeler for a peaceful ride along the Rivers of America. The half mile journey takes guests gliding along the 9 foot deep river encircling Tom Sawyer Island on a underwater rail. "Mark Twain" weaves a tale of a time where this was the mode to travel America in style as narrates the tranquil ride.

This is my favourite land, followed by Adventureland, and I'm not even American! I like the size, the vistas, the fascades, and the attention to detail, down to the "sewer spills" that poor down as white concrete amongst the brickwork. Great like areas to sit and rest away from the crowd.
