These Disney travel almost requires Guests to use the MyDisneyExperience app. This proprietary utility collects all of your Disney travel information (hotels, parks, restaurants, shopping and more) and puts it into one place. In addition to all of your personal information, it is also the go to spot for up-to-the-minute in Park mapping, FastPass+ scheduling, show times, ride wait times, character meet information, and pre-ordering at select Disney restaurants. MyDisneyExperience puts all the information that you need for your Disney vacation in the palm of your hand and keeps you up to date all over the Resort.

You'll need this if you want to use Minnie Vans as transportation around Walt Disney World. Just download the Lyft app to your mobile device, open it from anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort and select the Minnie Van service option. A roomy, comfortable ride is usually only minutes away.

Play Disney Parks

This brand new app recently debuted at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. This fun Park accessory turns your phone into an interactive console where you can interact with the Disney Parks themselves. Guests can earn, collect and share uniquely themed achievements, get rewarded for playing games, answer trivia, complete challenges throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

When it comes to keeping all of your travel data in one place TripIt is a travel gold standard. While MyDisneyExperience holds all of your on property reservation information and itinerary planning, TripIt will hold that as well as all you your non-Disney information such as ground transportation and flight scheduling. Adding events is as simple as forwarding and email, plus you can also share plans with non-travelers to keep them informed.

Traveling through through unfamiliar airports? GateGuru will give you handy airport maps to help you locate information, restaurants, local weather forecasts, airport tips and much more. When you add your flight information into the app you will also be able to track real-time on any updates to your itinerary including security wait times, flight delays, gate changes and layover time adjustments. If you're flying it's a little like having an airport concierge in your pocket.

PackPoint will help you get your "stuff" together so you're packed right for vacation. This handy app even looks at the weather forecast for the dates and location of your trip to help create the very best packing list for you. As well as weather, it considers activities from business meetings to a swim at a pool, or even a fancy dinner. You can remove items you don't think are necessary, and share lists with others if they need a little extra help too.

We really only use the My Disney Experience app but I might check out the Play Disney Parks one when we are there next month.

I'm still an app rookie and app-averse.
