Guests at the Walt Disney World Resort will have a new way to pay for merchandise in October, provided they have the new iPhone 6.
Apple Pay is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall and it will allow guests to make purchases at locations throughout the resort using their iPhone.
Paying for purchases with Apple Pay requires a single step and Disney joins merchandisers including Macy's, Whole Foods, Bloomingdales, McDonald's, Subway, and Staples as the first retailers and restaurants where Apple Pay will be utilized.
Apple Pay will also be accepted at Disney Stores beginning in October.
The Walt Disney World Resort is already using alternative payment methods via the MyMagic+ system. Guests who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can make purchases using their MagicBands.
Apple Pay will also be available on the Apple Watch which debuts in 2015. The watch will feature Mickey Mouse as one of the 18 face options users can switch between.
