Blackbeard Coming Soon to Pirates of the Caribbean Rides
Blackbeard, as portrayed by actor Ian McShane, will be making an appearance in the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean rides of both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Beginning May 20, you can catch Blackbeard in the grotto scene's ghostly waterfall. The upcoming appearance coincides with the also forthcoming release of "Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides."
McShane, who has a starring role in that film, came in to work on the ride's "head shot" back in February. Michael Sprout, a Disney Imagineering writer, was on hand to help direct the photo shoot and said McShane came in dressed in full Blackbeard regalia and carrying a sword.
Blackbeard's appearance on the ride is, as they say, for a limited time only; expect Davy Jones to be back at the waterfall later on this year.

Hi Mase! I think it's kinda neat when they "shake up" the rides a bit like this. Gives the guests something (else) to look at & talk about. :)
