A super popular spot for firework watching will be getting a makeover after the holidays. The California Grill is set to close in early 2013 for what's being called an "extensive renovation."
While there are not a whole lot of details at this time as to what exactly will change with the Contemporary Resort-based restaurant, guests can expect a brand new look for the Grill and some changes to the menu. Chef Brian Piasecki looks to be "excited" about the upcoming changes and "enhancements to the interactive kitchen." He also says:
We'll be able to give a fresh spin to California Grill classics, and add some cutting-edge new selections to the menu. We'll still focus on a fresh, seasonal menu with top-of-the-line sushi. You can still look for creative flavors and techniques, and sophisticated cuisine.
Look for the California Grill's cast members to return upon its opening. The two private dining rooms at the Grill will also be a part of the updated plans.
The California Grill will close January 6, 2013, and will reopen during the late summer.

As long as it's back open in September I'll be ok.
They better not remove my oak-fired filet of beef.

I'm looking forward to the update, I've never really been fond of the interior design.

I'll be there one week after it closes,... maybe I'll try the Ohana instead.
