December 2012 Disney Wonder Sailings to Mexico Canceled
Four Disney Wonder cruises from Los Angeles to Mexico set for December 2012 have been dropped. The cruises were to set sail December 9, 16, 23, and 30 to destinations in Mexico like Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta.
Manager of public affairs for Disney Cruise Lines Rebecca Peddie cites a new Disney Wonder itinerary for 2013 as the cause of the cancellations. Though mum's the word now as to what that the new itinerary will be and what places it will feature, Peddie did say the company is "always looking to bring the ship to new places." Look for the 2013 lineup to be announced at a later date.
The four sailings in December were the only ones affected by the 2013 upcoming itinerary; all other cruises between L.A. and Mexico in 2012 are still on the schedule to set sail.
Those who had reserved a spot on the canceled cruises are to be offered a spot on a different Disney cruise.

With so many other cruise lines pulling out of the Mexican Riviera ports due to safety issues, I'm not sure I think this is a real loss. However, I also wasn't booked on one of the canceled cruises. I'm sure that if I was I'd feel differently.
