Disney’s Polynesian Resort Announced as Next Disney Vacation Club Location

After much speculation, it's official. Disney's Polynesian Resort is the next location for the Disney Vacation Club.

This announcement came via press release that was quickly shared online, and comes after much debate as to where they next DVC location might be. The newest DVC property, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, is scheduled to open on October 23.

The press release states that construction on the project has already started and the project will be completed in 2015. The addition of DVC at the Polynesian means all three resorts on the monorail will be DVC locations.

Disney has not announced how many DVC units are being added, but the press release did mention that other guest areas in the Polynesian will also undergo refurbishment at the same time the DVC units are being constructed.

The press release also promised that "more information and project details will be shared at a later date."
