Disney and American Airlines Collaborate on Disney’s Planes

Walt Disney Studios and American Airlines have recently announced that they have collaborated in a very special way for the summer release of Disney's Planes, with a campaign that includes promotions, inflight entertainment, and traditional media buys.

Disney's Planes tells the story of Dusty, a plane with dreams of racing and a fear of heights. Dane Cook provides the voice of Dusty as part of cast of all-stars including Stacy Keach, Brad Garrett, Teri Hatcher, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, John Cleese, and Cedric the Entertainer.

Part of the collaboration with American Airlines includes a character in the named Tripp who was inspired by American's Boeing 777-300ER. In the movie, Tripp is "wearing" the new design for the airline which includes a new logo and the American flag on the plane's tail.

Tripp can be seen in the exclusive trailer for the film and in a teaser that can be seen on American's website, Facebook page, and You Tube channel.

Disney's Planes flies into theaters on August 9. The film is produced by Disneytoon Studios and was directed by Klay Hall.
