Disney Announces ‘Coolest Summer Ever’ and Plans to Kick Off Summer with a 24-Hour Party

Walt Disney World Resort has announced that this summer will be the 'Coolest Summer Ever' and to kick off the cool season there will be a 24-hour party on May 22-23 at the Magic Kingdom. Disney made the announcement from a still snowy Boston where a little bit of summer was created thanks to a 20-foot-wide beach complete with Cinderella Castle and Olaf.

The 24-hour party that kicks of the 'Coolest Summer Ever' starts at 6 a.m. on May 22 and lasts until 6 a.m. on May 23 at the Magic Kingdom. Guests attending the party are invited to dress in costume to show their Disney Side. Select attractions will be open during the event and guests can also enjoy character meet-and-greets, special food and beverage choices, and themed merchandise.

The 'Coolest Summer Ever' will be officially hosted by Olaf and includes Star Wars Weekends at Disney's Hollywood Studios, new restaurants and shopping at Downtown Disney, new entertainment at Epcot, and more.

Frozen Summer Fun LIVE is happening all summer long starting June 17 at Disney's Hollywood Studios and will include daily shows and appearance with Princess Anna, Queen Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf. Frozen-themed food and merchandise and a Frozen fireworks display are part of the fun through September 17.

This summer will also bring a new deal that will double the fun for guests at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach. Guests can purchase a one-day water park ticket and park hop between the two water parks in the same day.
