Disney Cruise Line Announces ‘Star Wars’ Day at Sea on Disney Fantasy in 2016

Star Wars fans listen up! The Force is headed out to sea in 2016 when the Star Wars Day at Sea debuts on select sailings on the Disney Fantasy. This themed day-long celebration will feature adventures, characters, and more from the Star Wars film saga.

The Star Wars Day at Sea is the first appearance of villains and heroes from the Star Wars characters on a Disney Cruise Line ship. The special event is planned for one day on eight separate sailings of the Disney Fantasy in January, February, March, and April 2016.

The event includes a full day of Star Wars themed entertainment and celebrations with a deck party, meet-and-greets, activities for the kids, and special food and beverages. Guests will also have a chance to view exclusive screenings of the Star Wars films and the Disney XD series Star Wars Rebels.

Characters appearances might include Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Boba Fett, Stormtroopers, and more. Guests can also dress up as their favorite hero or villain from the films. Kids will have a chance to attend the Jedi Academy at sea and everyone can test their Star Wars trivia knowledge.

On the evening of the Star Wars Day at Sea the night club will be transformed into the Mos Eisley cantina scene including characters, cantina music, and Star Wars-themed adult cocktails.

Each sailing will also feature a slate of celebrities from the Star Wars films for meet-and-greet experiences.

The Star Wars Day at Sea will happen on the following Disney Fantasy sailings: January 9, 23; February 6, 20; March 5, 19; and April 2 and 16, 2016.
