Disney Cruise Line Changing At-Sea Internet Packages to Data Allotment Plans

Guests sailing on a Disney Cruise Line ship within the next few weeks will see a change in the Internet packages offered on board.

Disney Cruise Line is transitioning their Connect@Sea Internet from per-minute plans to data allotment plans. The new plans will include a pay-as-you-go plan and a 1GB plan. This means, time on the Internet at sea will no longer be measured in minutes.

The plan has already been rolled out on the Disney Magic. The new Internet packages will be introduced on the Disney Dream on February 16, the Disney Wonder on February 26, and the Disney Fantasy on March 8.

Guests will receive detailed brochures in their staterooms. Information will also be available at the onboard Internet cafes and at Guest Services.

Other details include: concierge guests will receive free Internet access, while concierge guests in Categories S, T, and V will receive a free small package of 100MB.

Guests will be able to keep track of their Internet usage via a meter that appears on their browser and Connect@Sea will email guests to notify them when they have used 25 percent, 75 percent, and 100 percent of their package.

Do you use the Internet while sailing on Disney Cruise Line? What do you think of the new packages? Leave us a comment and let us know.
