With two beautiful new ships it's no wonder that the Disney Cruise Line is being considered one of the finest fleets on the seven seas. Fast on the heals of Conde' Nast Travelers Readers ranking all four ships in the Disney Fleet amongst the top large cruise ships in the world, another group of dedicated travel fans have been heard. Last week the critically acclaimed website CruiseCritic.com announced the winners of the Cruise Critic 2013 Cruisers' Choice Awards. Earning the very top honor " Best Large Cruise Ship " is none other then the newest star in the Disney Fleet, The Disney Fantasy.
Winners of the Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards were selected based on reviews submitted by cruisers for sailings taken in 2012. The majestic Disney Fantasy received the top spots in a total of four categories: Large Ship Best Cabins, Best Entertainment, Best Public Rooms and Best Service. This treasure of the seas wasn't the only Disney Cruise Ship to be lauded for it's excellence either, the Dream and Magic had strong showings as well.
Here's a look at the full breakdown of how the Disney Fleet Ranked:
With literally hundreds of cruise ships to sail on, we're thrilled to see the Disney Fleet making the top ten list in almost every category that was surveyed, with "Best for Fitness" being the only real exception. Once again the quality and standards that Disney is known for shine through when put to the test with real people on real vacations.
Karl L. Holz, president of Disney Cruise Line, had this to say about the honors:
Our crew members strive to deliver a vacation experience unlike anything else at sea, and this latest recognition speaks directly to their dedication and attentive service ... It's also true that the Disney Fantasy itself, like the other ships in our fleet, has a magical way of surprising and delighting our guests.
Setting sail with Mickey is an exciting luxury sure to delight. Are you a Disney Cruise Line fan? If so we'd love to hear what your favorite part of sailing with Disney is! Leave a comment below and share with us!

This should be of no surprise to anyone who has cruised on a Disney ship. I've done a Mediterranean, a Northern European, and several other cruises to the Bahamian islands on Disney ships, and they are all fantastic. I never get tired of traveling on a Disney ship (Wonder & Magic), it's like coming back home, yet they manage to surprise me with every new show, fabulous cuisines, and lets not get into the ports of call & shore tours. The cabins are wonderful, from the larger balcony ones, to the more modest! If you need to recharge your spirit and just get back to clean family fun, this is the cruise!
