Festive Fall Decorations In The Magic Kingdom

Like magic the overnight transformation has taken place, decking out Main Street U.S.A. for a fashionable fall. It takes a team of 40 cast members from Disney's Holiday Services Department to place, plant, and hang up the atmospheric accessories that signal the beginning of Fall and kick off Halloweentime.

176 individually-themed, carved pumpkins adorn the balconies and windowsills of Main Street, U.S.A. along with wreaths, bunting, scarecrows, glowing Mickey pumpkin heads, and miles of garlands. In addition to all that can be enjoyed during the day, after dark the park takes on another layer of seasonal heart. Roughly 4-1/4 miles of cable is installed for special lighting and sound effects that are part of the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party entertainment.

If you haven't had a chance to attend this special hard-ticket event during one of your visits yet, you're missing out. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of the best shows Disney puts on all year.

Other departments also invoke the spirit of the season with special Halloween merchandise displays and jubilant holiday windows, a plethora of bright orange and yellow marigolds from the landscaping teams, and seasonal treats from the Disney pastry chefs that can be found across the lands.

And lest you think it's the same old thing, every year the decorations surrounding base pieces are just a little different in their inspiration and design.
