Whether it's chocolate, cherry or anything in between, most of us seem to have a favorite pie. Get ready to celebrate what some might deem "slices of heaven" at the Great American Pie Festival in Celebration, Florida, April 9 and 10. (The Disney connection here? Celebration lies just outside the maingate of Walt Disney World and also was a community planned and built by Disney.)
Festival-goers will be able to enjoy sweet concoctions from some well-known restaurants and brands including the California Raisin Marketing Board, J. Horner's Desserts, Bakers Square Restaurants, Rocky Mountain Pies, Bonert's Slice of Pie, The Folger Coffee Company, Kroger's Private Selection, Smucker's Topping, Village Inn, Publix Super Markets, Inc. and Wick's Pies. If that weren't enough, the Never-Ending Pie Buffet will also be available.
Sponsored by Crisco, the festival will also have many family-friendly activities and baking demonstrations.
Another sweet bonus: getting into the festival itself will not set you back any money, but be prepared to shell out some dough for the Never-Ending Pie Buffet ($10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors).
The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both April 9 and 10 with events taking place around Celebration's Lakeside Park.

Sugar coma- you got that right! This kind of thing never seems to be going on when I'm traveling... it does sound pretty neat.
