Limited Time Extra, Extra Magic Hours Announced For Select Fall Dates

Everybody's talking about the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This highly anticipated land is expected to bring in guests from around the world just to get a peek. That's why for a limited-time Walt Disney World Resort will be extending an extra special benefit to guests staying at its resort hotels - Extra, Extra Magic Hours. That's right, Disney Parks is extending Park hours more than ever before to a benefit that will include Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at at Disney's Hollywood Studios, as well as other experiences at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom theme parks.


Limited Time Extra, Extra Magic Hours Announced For Select Fall Dates


Let's talk about hours, because there is a lot of information here and you'll need to pop those plans into your vacation spreadsheets. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at at Disney's Hollywood Studios will open its gate on August 29, 2019. To help celebrate the event, and accommodate the crowd surge that Park will be opening at 6:00 AM for all guests from August 29 through 31, 2019. During this three day opening period, there will not be additional Extra, Extra Magic Hours at Hollywood Studios.

That's not a bad thing though, because in hope of spreading out the traffic during Galaxy's Edge opening weekend other Walt Disney World Parks will have Extra, Extra Magic Hours for guests to take advantage of. Extra, Extra Magic Hours will continue through to November 2nd, 2019 in the following fashion.

Limited-Time Extra, Extra Magic Hours

• Disney's Hollywood Studios - Daily from September 1 through November 2, 2019 the park will have Extra, Extra Magic Hours from 6:00 - 9:00 AM, including Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, plus Toy Story Land attractions and select other attractions. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and its experiences are subject to capacity.




• Disney's Animal Kingdom - Extra, Extra Magic Hours will happen daily August 29 through November 2, 2019 from 7:00 - 8:00 AM, featuring Pandora - The World of Avatar and other attractions throughout the park.




• Magic Kingdom Park - Extra, Extra Magic Hours will happen daily from August 29 through November 2, 2019 from 7:00 - 8:00 AM, featuring favorite attractions in Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.




• Epcot - Regularly scheduled Extra Magic Hours will also continue to be available on select days.

More Time To Play At Disney Parks


All the regular Extra Magic Hour rules will apply to this limited-time offering including that Extra Magic Hours require a valid theme park admission and hotel ID. Guests without the Park Hopper Option or Park Hopper Plus Option must spend the day at the same park where they'd like to enjoy the Extra, Extra Magic Hours benefit. It's also important to know that not all Walt Disney World attractions are available during Extra Magic Hours, so don't count on them to ride those "can't miss" attractions or shop at a specific store.
