Meet Disney Legend and Author Marty Sklar at Book Events in Disneyland and Walt Disney World

Disney Legend and retired Imagineering executive Marty Sklar has authored a new book Dream It! Do It!: My Half-Century Creating Disney's Magic Kingdoms, detailing his half-century long Disney career including working as Walt's right-hand man and helping to open 9 of the 11 Disney parks around the world.

Fans will have a chance to meet Sklar at the Disneyland Resort on August 23 from 9-11 a.m. at the relocated Disneyana location on Main Street U.S.A. And, at the Walt Disney World Resort fans will be able to meet Sklar at The Writer's Stop in Disney's Hollywood Studios on September 11 from 9:30-11 a.m., and again on September 12 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Art of Disney at the Downtown Disney Marketplace.

When talking about the book, Sklar said that it is a look back at the people he worked with and the passion they had for Disney. He said he also wanted to correct some of the myths about Walt Disney that he knows aren't true.
The new book debuted at the D23 Expo and is being published by Disney Publishing Worldwide.
