Late last week, Disney Parks Blog gave fans and guests a glimpse of the Beast's Castle construction currently happening as part of the Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland expansion. Now, they've released even more detailed pictures of the castle's progress.
The Disney Imagineers are hard at work piecing together the castle using an architecture technique called "forced perception." This technique works to make the castle appear much larger than it is in reality. In short, it works as a type of optical illusion by taking in the size and scale of the object (in this case, the castle) as well as the perspective from which it will be viewed.
Enjoy these behind the scenes shots!

As I said on the forum... this is just too cool. Love it when things look so far away but there actually so close to ya. Like @ Hollywood Studio's.

I am so sad that this will not be ready for our trip to WDW! We'll be visiting in just a few short weeks...*sigh* Beauty and the Beast has always been one of my favorites. I guess this will just give me incentive to make the next trip to WDW at lot sooner than 30 years!!
