There's no doubt that Snow White is the princess of choice these days with no less than three films in the works. Disney, however, might be giving an update to another classic princess: Cinderella.
It appears Disney has already purchased a script for a live action movie about the servant-turned-princess. Written by The Devil Wears Prada's Aline Brosh McKenna, Disney is said to have paid $7 million for the script.
Now, rumor has it Disney is trying to reel in Mark Romanek as director for the movie. Romanek has directed Never Let Me Go starring Carey Mulligan and Keira Knightley and is tied to an upcoming Wolverine project with Hugh Jackman.
At this time, there is nothing solid as far as casting or production for this new take on Cinderella, but we'll keep you posted.

Hrmmm... not sure what I think about this. Cinderella has been done to death in recent years I wonder what sort of twist this script puts on it. I look forward to more information!

It should be interesting to see what they come up with for this idea... it's pretty sketchy info right now.
