The Great Movie Ride at Disney's Hollywood Studios has gone through some changes in recent months including the addition of digital movie posters, and all-new pre-show film, and even a new narration during the ride. And now, guests can take part in an all-new photo opp at the Chinese Theater.
The new photo opp gives guests the chance to channel their inner movie star and walk the red carpet before "cementing" their hands outside the Chinese Theater. Of course, you aren't putting your hands in real wet cement, but you'll still feel like a star.
These changes are all part of the partnership between Disney and Turner Classic Movies, the company that is now the sponsor of The Great Movie Ride.
TCM host Robert Osborne narrates the pre-show movie in addition to adding his narration during the ride. But don't worry, the cast members still have a chance to do their spiel during the course of the ride.

We rode the updated ride at the end of May. The updated preview and post ride trailers are definite improvements. The narration during the ride appeared out of sync with the scenes going by but what he was saying actually appeared to be less informative than the old narration in my opinion. one thing different, at least for me was when the ride was 'taken over' my the bad guy. In the last ten years I have ridden it was always at the gangster scene this time it was at the cowboy gunfight. I don't remember that happening for a long time.
