Preparations are happening across property to get ready for the MyMagic+ features that we talked about last week. To this end the My Disney Experience Website has increased the time period in which you can check-in to your Walt Disney World Resort Online. Formerly guests staying on property at one of the Disney Resort Hotels were allowed to check in as far out as 10 days in advance to their arrival date. With the new enhancements to My Disney Experience, online check-in has been extended to 60 days in advance of the guests' arrival date.
Upon arrival to the Walt Disney World Resort guests will continue to stop at their Resort's Online Check-in Registration desk where a detailed Welcome packet and Key To The World cards will be. As always, suitable ID will be required at check in to prove your identity. If you would like a little more information about Online Check-In read our previous article detailing the benefits to both guest and resort. In addition, the Walt Disney World Website now offers a FAQ covering the online check in process that may be helpful as the new MyMagic+ systems roll out.
Will you be checking in at 60 days?

Can I check in now for Feb 14?

With 40 days to go until our trip, I'd *love* to check-in now. But unfortunately, the My Disney Experience website doesn't seem to be accessible to Canadian residents yet. Even the FAQ link you posted above gets me a 404 page not found error on the 'old' disneyworld.disney.go.com site.

ErinDawn - I'm so sorry to hear that! It never even occurred to me that different country's would have different website access.
Rosemary - If you can access the new "My Disney Experience" format on the website, then yes, you should be able to check in now.

If you book a package you have until 45 days before check-in to pay it off. Will the system allow you to check-in before the trip is paid in full? I looked at the FAQ for an answer to this question but didn't find it.

I am from Canada and haven't had problems accessing my
Reservation but I also haven't been trying to check in yet.

Can I check in early if I book through Southwest vacations?
Kristen K. wrote on Tue, 02/12/2013 - 18:24:
Kat13 - You will have to ask the TA that you speak to. I booked through a TA and was able to check in early, all I needed was my confirmation number. I have never used Southwest vacations though.

but don't forget, your booking must be paid in full before you can do the 60 day in advance on-line check in. So, for those who pay their balance due before the 45 day required point, this is great...and for those who do it on the 45 day mark, you are then able to do your on-line check in.
