Photos from Walt Disney’s Personal Camera Released to Members on New D23 Website

This week D23: The Official Disney Fan Club officially relaunched its website and some of the new member-exclusive content are never-before-released photos from Walt Disney's personal camera.

D23.com Offers Exclusive Content to its Members

These photos - which are exclusive to the fan club - were discovered by Disney archivists and include photos of family trips and other candid photos. Perhaps most intriguing for Disney fans is a photo of Walt's daughters Diane and Sharon riding the merry-go-round at Griffith Park - the carousel ride that served as the inspiration for Disneyland.

Members can view the photos and read the story behind them in the members-exclusive section of the redesigned D23 website.

Walt Lounging in the Yard

These two photos are just a sneak peek of what you'll find on the site. The first photo shows Walt and his family on vacation in Denmark in June, 1951. The second photo shows Walt sleeping in the shade on the lawn of his Woking Way home on a state-of-the-art '40-s cushion"a book at his side.

The new D23 offers several level of membership including the new free level. Fans can join D23 at DisneyStore.com/D23. After 24 hours you can visit the D23 website and register to access members-only features. A gold membership costs $74.99 and a silver membership is $34.99.
