Disney fans are familiar with the annual gingerbread house display that graces the lobby of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa each holiday season, but did you know there's also an edible Easter egg display each spring?
This April marks the third year that the Grand Floridian Easter egg display has been showcased, and it all begins April 4.
The edible Easter eggs are created by master pastry Chef Erich Herbitschek and the pastry team at the Grand Floridian.
Each egg is 16-to-20 inches tall and they are created with modeling chocolate, fondant, sculpted sugar, and royal icing. The eggs are painted with tinted cocoa butter, creating beautiful scenes from Disney movies.
Each egg takes 18-20 hours to create, and this year's display includes 18 edible eggs. The eggs include scenes from Frozen, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Pocahontas, and Lady and the Tramp.
The Grand Floridian's Easter eggs will be on display from April 4 through April 22.
