Three Disney Cruise Line Ships Currently Homeporting in Port Canaveral

For the first time in the history of the cruise line, three Disney Cruise Line ships are currently calling Port Canaveral 'home.'

Earlier this month the Disney Magic joined the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy in port, and will stay until mid-May.

This milestone is not only giving guests more cruising options, but it's also helping to boost the economy in Brevard County.

Martin Associates, an economic research firm based in Pennsylvania studied the benefits of having three ships in Port Canaveral and found that it will create about 1,000 new jobs and will add $100 million to the local economy.

The Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy already created 4,000 jobs in Central Florida and contribute more than $450 million to the local economy.

"We're thrilled to welcome the Disney Magic home to Port Canaveral, joining the Disney Dream and the Disney Fantasy, for the beginning 2014 and again for the first part of 2015," said Anthony Connelly. Sr. Vice President, Operations, Disney Cruise Line.

The Disney Wonder is currently sailing from Miami, marking the first time in DCL history that the entire fleet of Disney ships is sailing from Florida ports.

A similar sailing schedule is planned for early 2015.

Hi Laurie - It's hard to say, but Disney is always evaluating its ports of call in order to bring new cruises to its guests.
