Expanded cable for guests and a testing a new bus are a couple of interesting tidbits of news this week regarding the happiest place on earth.
First off, Walt Disney World Resort began offering expanded cable channels on their hotels' in-room televisions last week. A sampling of the new channels available to guests include: Fox News, Bravo, AMC, National Geographic, TBS, TNT, Travel Channel, WE tv, Syfy, Discovery, Bio, HGTV, TLC, History, Food Network and TV Land. A complete list of channels available to guests can be found on Channel 17.
Next, word out of central Florida has it that Walt Disney World is testing a new higher-capacity bus on some of its busiest routes. Though this longer bus, called an articulated bus, is not new within the travel and transit industry, it is the first time Disney has given it a trial. Look for the testing to continue through mid-April.

It's about time on the tv channels.

I don't really watch TV while in WDW, and when I do it's generally the local news or the resort channel. Perhaps if I took a longer vacation and had more down time this would be more exciting to me. I always just looked at the TV as an intrusion from the outside world.

These buses are a good idea. However, some of the turns they have to make are probably not conducive to these larger buses. They probably will be used only on certain routes, I would suspect.
