Is Updated Version of Soarin’ Headed to Disney’s US Theme Parks?
When Disney CEO Bob Iger unveiled the details for Shanghai Disney Resort last week Disney fans discovered that one of the new attractions at Shanghai Disneyland is called "Soaring Over the Horizon." This attraction is an updated version of Soarin' that takes guests around the world, instead of just over California.

Soaring Over the Horizon at Shanghai Disneyland will include scenes of the Shanghai skyline and the Great Wall of China, and other locations around the world.
So now for the million dollar question: Will Soaring Over the Horizon be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland? There have been rumors swirling about lately that Soarin' in Epcot is going to be updated, perhaps with footage from Florida. But those are just rumors for now.
Disney has made no official announcement that Soaring Over the Horizon is coming to the United States, but there is some speculation that this updated attraction will debut at some point in either Disneyland or Walt Disney World Resort, or both. But again, that's just speculation. And wishful thinking perhaps.
So for now, if you want to experience the all-new Soaring Over the Horizon you'll need to book trip to Shanghai Disneyland for the spring of 2016.

Disney definitely needs to update Soarin from time to time to keep it interesting.

If they expand the viewing area at Epcot I would love to see a choice of Soarin' s. One time California, one time Florida, etc.
Actually it would be really great if each Soarin' showed a Disney area other than the local one. Might inspire travel.

I hear they are making a 3rd screen theater in WDW. Rotate California, Florida and Horizons ... mix it up.

I wish they had a theater soaring. I get carsick really really easy and I went on the soaring, also terrified of heights so it was awful for me. I had to close my eyes through most of it. But if you could sit down in a theater type area I might be able to handle it. I'm sure I'm not the only one, sigh, hate it has to be that way
