Soarin’ Around the World Coming to Epcot in 2016

One of the most popular attractions at Epcot is getting an upgrade. Soarin' is set to become Soarin' Around the World sometime in 2016. The high-flying trip over California will be no more as guests will now get to "travel" around the world without needing a passport.

Is Updated Version of Soarin’ Headed to Disney’s US Theme Parks?

When Disney CEO Bob Iger unveiled the details for Shanghai Disney Resort last week Disney fans discovered that one of the new attractions at Shanghai Disneyland is called "Soaring Over the Horizon." This attraction is an updated version of Soarin' that takes guests around the world, instead of just over California.

The Best of Epcot

Epcot opened as Walt Disney World's second gate on October 1st, 1982. A tribute to the vision and creative genius of Walt Disney, this Park was meant to celebrate human achievement, to be a community of new thought, and a permenant installation of modern international culture. The Park is split into two distinct sections, guests stepping through the main gate first arrive in Future World. This portion of the Park is dedicated to science and technology, where guests can explore the bottom of the sea, or reach for stars.

It isn't easy to list the top 10 Walt Disney World Attractions. The four theme parks have so many incredible dark rides, thrill rides, and classic rides that making any kind of top 10 list is a bit of a challenge.

But we aren't afraid of a challenge. Unless that challenge includes riding Expedition Everest, then we're afraid. And so, without further ado here is a list of what we consider to be the top 10 attractions at Walt Disney World.

Take Flight over California on Soarin’ at Epcot's The Land

It's one of those must-do-and-I-will-run-to-get-FastPasses rides. A visit to Epcot is just not complete until you've had a chance to ride at least once. OK, maybe twice. And then there's the fact that guests actually applaud at the end of each flight. Yes, I'm talking about Soarin'.
