The newest Disney Vacation Club resort is ready to welcome guests into a world of Victorian-era charm and casual elegance.
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are the 12th resort property for the Disney Vacation Club, and the resort is the first DVC property to feature deluxe studios that sleep up to five guests.
Guests at the villas can enjoy all the amenities at The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa including Senses - A Disney Spa, dining at Victoria & Albert's, Citrico's, 1900 Park Fare, Narcoossee's, Gasparilla Island Grill, and The Grand Floridian Cafe, in addition to being able to enjoy the pools and other water activities. And, the Magic Kingdom is just a monorail ride away.
In addition to the deluxe studio, accommodations include one-bedroom villas that sleep up to five guests, two-bedroom villas that sleep up to nine guests, and a grand villa that sleeps 12 guests and features multiple bedrooms and bathrooms in addition to a media room and home theater system.
The design of the villas mirrors that of its sister resort, the flagship Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and also includes some whimsical Disney touches such as the lobby's Mary Poppins-themed bronze fountain featuring playful penguins. The lobby also features two five-tier custom grand chandeliers with an antiqued-brass finish and green crystals. Other grand details include laser-cut marble floors, etched bronze elevator doors, and a hand-tufted wool rug.
The villas feature crown molding, porcelain tile balconies, and cove ceilings. The one-bedroom and larger villas also feature themed Grand Floridian plates, living rooms with storage ottomans, full kitchens with upgraded appliances, granite countertops, and farmhouse sinks.
Also inside the one-bedroom and larger villas guests will find custom Disney artwork, bathrooms with mosaic marble tiles, a mirror with a built-in television, a walk-in shower, and a Victorian-style tub with air bubble jets. The living areas feature a pull-down bed with artwork inspired by Dumbo and Mary Poppins.
The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is yet another example of how we are listening and responding to our members," said Ken Potrock, senior vice president and general manager, Disney Vacation Club. "The resort builds on the continuing momentum to provide our members with ever-greater choices and experiences.
Disney Vacation Club debuted in 1991 and offers members a flexible, points-based system. Today the DVC has nearly 200,000 member families.
