Walt Disney Parks and Resorts announced a new pavilion for this year's D23 Expo: 'A Galaxy of Stories.' This pavilion will give guests the chance to get an exclusive look at the new Star Wars-themed lands at Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disneyland.
The pavilion will feature showcase models, artwork, and media providing guests with their first looks at some of the locations, ships, creatures, and droids that will be included in the new Star Wars-themed lands on both coasts. The new lands are slated to open in 2019.
A fully detailed model of the "overall vision" of the new lands will also be included in the pavilion.
In other D23 Expo news, the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts presentation is scheduled for July 15 at 3 p.m. PT with Parks and Resorts chairman Bob Chapek.
Three additional presentations have also been announced: Pirates of the Caribbean: 50 Years of Swashbuckling Adventures in Disney Parks (July 14 at 3:30 p.m.), Inspiring Women of Imagineering (July 16 at 12:15 p.m.), and Voices of Disney Parks (July 16 at 2:30 p.m.)
