The Walt Disney World Resort has filed plans with the South Florida Water Management District to build a 286,000-square-foot venue at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. There is no word on what the actual venue would be.
The plans filed by Disney are for a 180,000 square foot building. The entire project will sit on 10 acres of land and will include parking.
The ESPN Wide World of Sports is hosting two new events this year including the 2016 Invictus Games. The annual Night of Joy Christian music festival is also moving to the WWOS complex from its former home at the Magic Kingdom.
The Atlanta Braves will also be spending spring training at the WWOS complex this spring.
Currently the complex is home to facilities for various sports including baseball and tennis, in addition to the HP Field House and the Jostens Center.
What do you think about the construction plans at the Wide World of Sports? Let us know in the comments.

Glad to hear the sports complex is doing so well they can expand. If only the network was still considered to be strong.
