Who doesn't love a good rumor now and then? Here are two newer rumors about the happiest place on earth that are currently making the rounds.
First up is a new experience that looks to be already in the early stages of implementation at Magic Kingdom's Adventureland. We're talking about a new interactive-type game (a la Agent P's game at the World Showcase) called "A Pirate's Adventure: Jewels of the Seven Seas." This new experience is said to have elements that will be activated by guest intereaction such as talking tiki dolls and shark fins circling in the water. There's no set date for the debut of this game, though it is reported construction walls are already going up throughout Adventureland.
Next up is a bona fide rumor from Disney's Animal Kingdom. Word out of that park indicates the Festival of the Lion King attraction will be moved to the Africa section of AK in order to make room for the much-hyped Avatarland. One can deduce from this rumor (and therefore make another rumor) that Avatarland might be constructed in the current Camp Minnie-Mickey area. It appears this still-in-the-works addtion to AK may be scaling down in size and budget. Currently, there are no definite dates of debut set for Avatarland.

Really wish they would drop the Avatarland idea. Avatar is not a classic and I really don't like that they are shoehorning a land into Animal Kingdom. No other land in AK is based completely on a movie franchise. I'd be ok with an avatar themed attraction, but not a whole land. Really wish they would focus on the original idea of AK and complete the Fantasy Animal land that was envisioned and planed when the park was designed.

I like the adventure land attraction but am curious how many of these type of attractions they plan on putting into the parks and if these with turn into more of a nuisance. SOTMK has portals in adventure land and now they are putting in another attraction like this. Curious to see how it turns out.

Avatar is not even a Disney film...They should drop this idea, save the money and do something different, like the CARS set up in California...NOW THAT will draw the crowd in, not Avatar. I believe Avatarland will be a waste of money for Disney and in today's world, smart decisions need to be made, not this.

Avatar-land is a horrible idea. They are trying to compete with the popularity of The World of Harry Potter. I hear that James Cameron and Tom Staggs are good friends and this is where all the silliness with Avatar-land started. I hear that they may be bringing the very popular DCA Cars-land experience to Hollywood Studios, replacing Lights Motor Action, that i can get behind. It makes no sense to team up like this on something that really doesn't have a legacy to carry it into the future. Stars Wars and Indy...these properties have a legacy. Why can't they do something with other Disney properties...TRON MAYBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't tell me you aren't going to hit a homerun by creating a ride that let's people ride a light-cycle. Also Disney has shown that they can create rides on movies that didn't do very well and that you can't even get these days due to the racial overtones...SPLASH MOUNTAIN!!!!! Disney needs to crush Universal with things that are Disney and they have lots of properties to do it with...MARVEL UNIVERSE!!!! Also bring back the Wonderful World of Disney and have John Lasseter host it...another homerun if you ask me.
