The popular Writer's Stop at Disney's Hollywood Studios is reportedly not closing on April 2 with the majority of the Streets of America. According to several reports, the coffee shop will become the Sci-Fi Dine-In Lounge on April 3.
This will reportedly be a limited time reprieve and the new lounge will be open from 11:30 a.m. until just before the Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant's closing time. Guests can enjoy "lounge food" including warm pretzels, a cheese plate, and a selection of beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks.
In other food news from Walt Disney World, the Oasis Bar & Grill has opened at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, new menu items have been added at the Flame Tree Barbecue at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and new sweets are on the menu at the IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party at Epoct. If you're visiting the Magic Kingdom soon you can check out new menu items at Casey's Corner including foot-long versions of the Barbecue Slaw Hot Dog and Chili Cheese Hot Dog. And Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe has added Beef Nachos and a Southwest Burger to its menu.
And finally, D-Luxe Burger is set to open in May in Disney Springs. This Disney-owned and operated burger joint will be serving up deluxe burgers and gelato shakes.
