All Hail The 28oz Porterhouse...

Good Evening Folks..As my DW and i sit down in front of our glowing fire on a chilly Scottish night..We are looking at restaurants for our October vacation..I'am on a different site and we are both looking at Yachtsmen Steakhouse..Now according to Debs All Ears, the famous 24oz porterhouse is back on the menu, and this menu was updated in January 2014... Question..What menus do you use when looking at Disney restaurants..?...

We pull them up right from the "My Disney Experience" site. That way, I know they are pretty accurate. And yes, the porterhouse is back on the menu, and it is a 28oz! I was fine with the 8oz filet. eek

Just for your info if you are looking for a challenge, Shula's at the Dolphin which is my personal favorite at WDW has a 48 oz. porterhouse for your attempt at immortality. If you complete it you get your name engraved on a plaque in the restaurant. It is quite pricey but hey you are on vacation. eek

48 oz?!?! eek

That is just ridiculous. I mean, I like a good steak like anyone else but... 3 pounds of meat? No way! I don't think humans are built to eat that much at once. laugh

When I was deciding on which restaurant to book for my DS birthday in October, I had narrowed it down to either the Yachtsmen or Shula's...I saw that 48oz baby...No way Jose.. eek ...I have opted for Yachtsmen and the 28oz will be big enough challenge for me..

We honestly were not impressed with Shula's when we went in October. The steaks were sort of bland and mine was very chewy. I know everyplace can have a bad night, just must have been ours that night. I'm not in any hurry to rush back there. Hope you have a good meal Fergy.
